Collegiate Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success (C-SPF-PFS) Initiative

WV Collegiate Prevention logo

The Collegiate Strategic Prevention Framework Partnership for Success (C-SPF-PFS) initiative seeks to enhance prevention infrastructure and build capacity among higher education institutions in Southern West Virginia (WV) to prevent the onset and reduce the progression of alcohol, tobacco and vaping, marijuana, and prescription drug misuse and its related problems among higher education students (ages 18 and older).

The catchment area includes 21 counties in Southern WV. The student and staff populations of the following institutions of higher education and county coalitions will benefit from enhanced infrastructure: Bluefield State University, BridgeValley Community and Technical College, Concord University, Marshall University, Mountwest Community & Technical College, Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, West Virginia State University and West Virginia University Institute of Technology. This will enhance the sharing of evidence-based practices, resources, trainings, and collaborative support for environmental strategies effecting both campuses and the communities in which they reside.
