PROJECTS
West Virginia Peer Recovery Training Hub
The Peer Recovery Training Hub, also called the HUB, aims to support and expand the peer workforce in West Virginia by providing access to high-quality training and resources at either no cost or low cost to participants. The HUB also provides technical assistance to peers pursuing their Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) certification. Peer recovery support services play a vital role in helping individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) achieve and maintain recovery. Peers, those in recovery from SUD, empower and advocate, provide valuable experience and resources, and extend support and outreach in a variety of settings.
The HUB is made possible by a partnership between the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH), the Marshall University’s Center of Excellence for Recovery, the West Virginia Collegiate Recovery Network, and the Office of Drug Control Policy.
